~* NOW PLAYING: BLIND BY LIFEHOUSE *~

This was my LSS of the week after seeing Lifehouse perform this song in a prom episode of Smallville. And I *crush* Jason Wade ;-) I just love his deep growly/scratchy voice. And I like the ballads that he wrote (like this one). I'm not a big fan of the entire body of work by Lifehouse but I must say that I am a fan when it comes to their slow (love) songs [think: Hanging by A Moment, Somewhere in Between, Everything, Breathing, You & Me]

I was young but I wasn't naive
I watched helpless as you turn around to leave
And still I have the pain I have to carry
A past so deep that even you could not bury if you tried

After all this time, I never thought we'd be here
Never thought we'd be here
When my love for you is blind
But I couldn't make you see it
Couldn't make you see it
That I loved you more than you will ever know
And part of me died when I let you go

I would fall asleep only in hopes of dreaming
That everything would be like it was before
But nights like this it seems are slowly fleeting
They disappear as reality is crashing to the floor

After all this time, I never thought we'd be here
Never thought we'd be here
When my love for you is blind
But I couldn't make you see it
Couldn't make you see it
That I loved you more than you will ever know
And part of me died when I let you go

After all this why would you ever want to leave it?
Maybe you could not believe it
That my love for you is blind
But I couldn't make you see it
Couldn't make you see it
That I loved you more than you will ever know
And part of me died when I let you go

awesome music from an awesome group, i have seen them twice and they sound as good live as they do in recorded tracks. funny how their sound blend well with smallville storyline(s). it is as if they were writing for that series, either that or the writers of the tv series think of lifehouse while they pen stories. either way, they do fit well.
